A very happy New Year to all friends, far and near, and old and new.
I don’t often make New Year’s resolutions, but I have just the one this year. To graduate from medical school. The end is in sight, and, after nine long and mostly happy years, with one last hurdle and God willing, I will be a doctor in 2012.
I hope that in the year to come, some of your hopes and dreams may also be realised.
And there’s a hand, my trusty fiere,
And gie’s a hand o’ thine,
And we’ll tak a right gude-willy waught,
For auld lang syne.
